Albert Adrian Dick - Titanic First Class Passenger

Mr Albert Adrian Dick was a first class passenger travelling aboard Titanic with his wife Vera Dick, whom he had married less than a year earlier, and was returning home to Calgary, Alberta, Canada with her aboard Titanic from what is described as their honeymoon trip to the other side of the Atlantic. The day they on which they were married on is in fact a notable day in the Titanic calendar – it was the day on which Titanic was launched at Harland and Wolff, Belfast – 31st May 1911.

Albert Adrian Dick was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on 29th July 1880. By the time he boarded Titanic at Cherbourg, France on 10th April 1912, he was a successful business man and made money through real estate.

On board Titanic he shared cabin B20, located on the port side of the ship, with his wife.

While Titanic was sinking both Albert Adrian Dick and his wife were able to board Lifeboat 3, which was lowered away from the ship at around 12:55am.

Both Albert Adrian Dick and his wife survived the disaster.

Albert Adrian Dick died on 2nd June 1970. He was buried at Union Cemetery, Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He was joined there by his wife in October 1973.
