Elsie Doling - Titanic Second Class Passenger
Miss Elsie Doling was a second class passenger sailing aboard Titanic to America with her sister in law Ada Doling, where they were to visit Ada Doling’s mother in New York. They boarded Titanic together at Southampton on 10th April 1912. They were both residents of Southampton.
Elsie Doling was born in Southampton on 30th October 1893. Her sister in law, Ada Doling, was the wife of her brother John Thomas Doling.
Both Elsie Doling and her sister in law were rescued by the Carpathia. It is unknown in which lifeboat they departed the sinking ship in.
After completing their visit to America they sailed home in May 1912.
At some point after the Titanic disaster she moved to India. In India she married William Hendricks (born in 1877), and they had four children together.
Elsie Hendricks passed away on 3rd March 1972. Her husband had died in 1966.
