Alfred Fleming Cunningham - Titanic Second Class Passenger
Alfred Fleming Cunningham was aboard Titanic as part of Harland and Wolf’s, the shipyard that built Titanic, guarantee group. The guarantee group were aboard to monitor Titanic’s performance and to help fix and resolve any issues with the new ship. Joining the ship at Belfast, prior to the start of her maiden voyage, he was accommodated aboard as a second class passenger. His job was as a ship fitter.
The other members of Harland and Wolf’s guarantee group aboard the hip were, Thomas Andrews, William Henry Campbell, Roderick Chisholm, Anthony Wood, Robert Knight, Francis Parkes, William Marsh and Ennis Hastings.
Alfred Fleming Cunningham was born in Belfast in 1890.
Alfred Fleming Cunningham died in the Titanic disaster on 10th April 1912. His body is not known to have been recovered. All the other members of the guarantee group were also lost.
