Lilian Carter - Titanic Second Class Passenger

Mrs Lilian Carter was traveling aboard Titanic with her husband Ernest Courtenay Carter for a visit to the United States; they lived in London, where her husband was the vicar of St Jude’s, Whitechapel. They boarded Titanic at Southampton on 10th April 1912.

Lilian Carter was born on 3rd March 1867. Her maiden name was Hughes. She married her husband in 1890.

Earlier during the evening in which Titanic struck the iceberg she had attended a hymn service held in Titanic second class dining room led by her husband.

Lilian Carter did not survive the disaster. Her husband was also lost. Their bodies are not known to have been recovered from the sea.
