Washington Dodge Jr - Titanic First Class Passenger

Washington Dodge Jr was a four year old first class passenger sailing across the Atlantic aboard the maiden voyage of Titanic – making his way home from Europe to San Francisco, California, with his mother Ruth Dodge and his father Washington Dodge. They joined Titanic at Southampton on 10th April 1912, and aboard the ship occupied cabin A34.

Washington Dodge Jr was born in San Francisco, California, United States on 23rd September 1907.

At the time Titanic fatally collided with the iceberg on 14th April 1912, Washington Dodge Jr was in his cabin, probably asleep.

Accompanied to the starboard side Boat Deck by his mother and his father, Washington Dodge Jr was placed into Lifeboat 5 with his mother; his father remained behind on the deck, but eventually was lowered away from the ship in Lifeboat 13. Washington Dodge Jr and both his parents all survived the Titanic disaster.

He is said to have later married Helen Hubbard and then again later to have married to Helen Brown. He is said to have had three children. Upon his death, his obituary described as an investment adviser and have had worked with publications.

Washington Dodge Jr had died in New York on 3rd December 1974 after suffering a heart attack.
